The Castelli Women’s Venere Skort combines a high-end, 6-panel cycling short with a stylish skirt for a skort that feels as good as it looks, even after miles in the saddle. The SoftFlex synthetic fabric not only feels as soft as cotton to the touch, but it also stretches to allow for great range of motion, and wicks away moisture to keep you dry and comfortable in the blistering heat of summer. Castelli’s Venere starts with the idea that a skort must stay in place in order for it to be comfortable. So, designers created a curved waistband out of Action Power Lycra that offers gentle compression and is abrasion resistant. Inside the waistband is lightweight elastic to make sure it holds. When you put the skort on, you’ll find that the waistband is higher in the back and lower in the front. This position keeps the skort in place and keeps the jersey sitting on top, rather than exposing skin. The front is low enough so that you don’t feel like you’re holding in your stomach or like it’s preventing you from breathing deeply. The chamois on the Venere is the KISS3 Donna women-specific seat pad. It’s smaller and a bit wider than the men’s. The Kiss3 chamois uses a seamless construction of brushed microfiber to avoid any chaffing, and the pad is anatomically shaped to help follow your movements. The variable-density design provides more padding where you need it and less where you don’t. The Castelli Women’s Venere Skort comes in Black/white, White/black, and Black/cyclamen and is available in five sizes from X-Small through X-Large. The legs have a 6.5 inch inseam.
